P. Karen Todd: Author of Fantasy Stories

Where do you find magic?
I find it hiking in the Rockies near my home. Sometimes I see faerie folk winking at me between the pines. They beckon to me, singing snippets of ancient stories humans have long forgotten.

On enchanted days, I spot a moose. Moose are muses in disguise (hence the name). And it's a great disguise, you must admit. Who would suspect a muse could take on the form of a clumsy-looking thousand-pound velvet-antlered beast that crunches branches for breakfast?

I hug trees to feel their magic, too. Sometimes they hug me back.
